Cheap girls guide for cleaning your makeup brushes

bri

Supplies

  • Dish-wash soap (preferably a clear one seventh generation, dawn pure, etc.)
  • Good Old EVOO (extra virgin olive oil; I don’t use regular oil olive because its too thick)
  • 1 cup water in bowl

What works perfectly for me is adding a TSP of dish soap and mixing it gently into the water and then adding a TBSP of EVOO. Take one makeup brush at a time and gentle message the bristles in your fingers. I do this until my brushes don’t blot clear on the paper towel or towel which ever you prefer.

Tip: Clean your foundation brushes and sponges after every use. I usually clean my shadow brushes and contour brushes every week (I don’t wear eye-shadow a lot).
